Bakolo said that it is the wish of the council to operate within the systems shared by government citing IFMIS as a critical financial system.
“We are expecting our staff to be skilled and knowledgeable. Apart from that, we are hoping that at the end of the training everybody is up to date and abreast with the system”, he said.
In his remarks, Emmanuel Chitukula, the facilitator of the training said that through the training members will be able to learn the system and ensure that the council produces financial statement from the system.
One of the participants, Elizabeth Kanyinji from Accounts Department expressed satisfaction over the training as it would assist her and colleagues to fill the gaps which they encounter in the execution of their daily duties.
The training is organized by management of ZCC through National Local Government Finance Committee (NLGFC).
