Chongoni Rock Art

Situated within a cluster of forested granite hills and covering an area of 126.4 km2, high up the plateau of central Malawi, Chongini rock art reflect the comparatively scarce tradition of farmer rock art, as well as paintings by BaTwa hunter-gatherers who inhabited the area from the late Stone Age.

First Ever Zomba City Summit

The City Summit

Zomba City Council held its first ever City summit on 25th August, 2023 at Sunbird Ku Chawe. The aim of the summit was to provide a platform for stakeholders and the community so that they can provide a constructive criticism and also work together in creating plans towards the development of the city. Zomba City Council held its summit under the theme "A Clean Green City; My Right, My Responsibility". The summit focused on three sub-themes which are - Urban Renewal - Waste Management - Illegal Vending/Parking
